3 Days Paddling on lochs and rivers based in the Northern Highlands. 3 nights accommodation in fantastic surroundings overlooking a lochan with views of the mountains. Suitable locations which will be chosen to take account of the weather and paddling abilities of the group. Rivers and Lochs in the Affric, Moriston, Garry and Great Glen areas.

 

Based in a tandem canoe. Solo paddlers can participate if they bring their own canoe.

 

Three day paddling  lochs and rivers.  A chance to enjoy the peace and quiet of the Highlands and always a possibility to spot various native wild animals and birds, whilst improving your paddling skills in a relaxed and tranquil environment, being guided by two experienced paddlers.

 

The standard will be mostly flatwater and some grade 1 and 2 and it will be a progressive experience with coaching as needed by Chris and Jane. Previous experience is not required but participants must be able to swim. Any participant under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. 

 

What is included?

3 nights accommodation at Lochan Nan Lachan.

Meals on 3rd, 4th June breakfast, packed lunch, dinner.

Meals on 5th June breakfast and packed lunch.

Drying facilities.

Use of hot tub.

Canoe, paddle, buoyancy aid, dry bag.

Guiding and coaching as appropriate.

 

What is not included?

Meal on evening of arrival.

Insurance.

Personal canoe clothing and footwear.

Pick up and or drop off.

Additional night at end of trip, on request, is £50 for dinner, bed and breakfast.
